Radial Cement Resistor

RST Electric presents the Radial Cement Resistor – a high-power, robust resistor designed for chassis or heatsink mounting in demanding industrial applications. Unlike standard PCB-mounted resistors, this Ceramic Encased Resistor features a rectangular ceramic body with both radial leads and integral mounting brackets, allowing secure attachment to metal chassis or heatsinks for superior thermal management. With power ratings from 10W to 50W and resistance values from 0.1Ω to 100kΩ (wirewound/metal film), it is ideal for power supplies, motor drives, battery chargers, and industrial equipment where reliable heat dissipation is critical. Available in tolerances from ±1% to ±10% with a low temperature coefficient (≤ ±250 ppm/°C), this Chassis Mount Power Resistor meets rigorous performance standards including solderability, dielectric withstand, vibration, and endurance testing.

What Makes the Radial Cement Resistor Stand Out in Compact High-Power Applications?

The Radial Cement Resistor from RST Electric bridges the gap between PCB-mounted power resistors and larger chassis-mount units, offering a compact yet thermally efficient solution for applications requiring high power dissipation in constrained spaces. Unlike standard axial or radial resistors that rely solely on PCB traces and ambient air for cooling, this Chassis Mount Resistor incorporates robust metal brackets that allow direct attachment to a heat sink or metal equipment chassis, dramatically improving heat transfer and enabling sustained high-power operation.

How Is the High Power Cement Resistor Built for Thermal & Mechanical Reliability?

The construction of this High Power Cement Resistor prioritizes thermal conductivity and mechanical stability. The resistive element—available in wirewound configuration for low-resistance, high-pulse applications (down to 0.1Ω) or metal film for low-noise, high-resistance requirements (up to 100kΩ)—is encapsulated in an inorganic silica filler and housed in a flame-retardant ceramic case. The unique SQHG design features both radial leads for electrical connection and integrated mounting brackets with pre-drilled holes (typically 4.0mm diameter) for screw or bolt fixation. This dual connection method ensures both electrical integrity and mechanical security, even in high-vibration environments. The package orientation is horizontal, with the long axis of the resistor parallel to the mounting surface, minimizing height profile while maximizing contact area for heat transfer.

What Rigorous Tests Confirm the Resistor’s Durability in Industrial Environments?

Each unit undergoes rigorous quality validation. Solderability testing ensures >90% coverage under 260±5°C for 2 seconds. Dielectric withstand is verified at 500VAC for 5 seconds with no breakdown. Temperature coefficient is maintained at ≤ ±250 ppm/°C. Temperature cycling from -55°C to +200°C confirms structural integrity, while endurance testing at rated voltage for 1000 hours validates long-term reliability. Overload testing at 10× rated power (wirewound) or 5× rated power (metal film) confirms pulse capability. As a trusted Radial Cement Resistor manufacturer in China, RST Electric combines over 10 years of power resistor expertise with precision manufacturing to deliver components that provide robust thermal management in industrial and commercial equipment.

Package and shipment

Radial Cement Resistor

RST Electric ensures safe delivery of every Radial Cement Resistor:

We attach great importance to the transportation safety of each Ceramic Resistor. Before delivery, we will provide customized packaging solutions based on the order size to ensure the integrity of the products throughout the process.

For regular orders, an independent packaging process is adopted: each resistor is first fully covered with static electrical insulation film, and then placed in an independent box to provide adequate protection for the ceramic body and the support structure. For large-scale purchases, corrugated cardboard is used for whole-box packaging, with foam partitions inside to effectively prevent pin bending and support deformation, ensuring installation accuracy.

For key parts such as pins and supports, we will additionally fill foam pads for reinforcement to ensure they remain straight during transportation and do not affect subsequent installation. Each shipment of goods is accompanied by a packing list and inspection certificate, facilitating quick acceptance and archiving by customers.

The delivery method is flexible and can be adapted to the purchase scale: small batches can choose international express delivery services such as DHL/FedEx/UPS; medium-sized batches are suitable for air transportation; large-scale orders are transported by sea, balancing cost and timeliness.

Before packaging all Ceramic Resistors, 100% electrical testing and appearance inspection are conducted to ensure that the core indicators such as resistance values are accurately met, and the product appearance is strictly controlled to comply with the custom standards, ensuring that the delivered products fully meet the usage and compliance requirements.
