Shenzhen Metro Line 27 is being built in an underground shield-tunneling environment. The supplied site photos show a rail-bound muck transport locomotive and cars working inside the tunnel, where repeated starts, stops and loaded movements call for predictable electrical braking.
The specified braking resistor package is used in the locomotive drive system to absorb braking energy during deceleration. By converting excess electrical energy into heat, the resistor supports DC-link voltage management and controlled braking in a compact mobile-equipment installation.
